"The art of conversation is the art of hearing as well as of being heard."

William Hazlitt

They talk. We listen.
Then we tell you
what's been said.

Candid Response uses AI interviewers to unlock conversational insight from your members. Thousands of five-minute conversations, turned into evidence you can put in a submission.

The alternative · a sliding scale of indifference

How satisfied are you with your membership?

Two hundred and eleven members picked this one. Not one of them told you why.

How it works

An interviewer that asks the obvious next question

Members get one link and a five-minute conversation. No login, no form. The interviewer listens and probes for the specifics a good researcher would, then we turn thousands of those into evidence, with the base sizes printed and every quote cleared by the person who said it.

Candid ResponseWhat would you change about the proposal?
MemberHonestly, the timeline. Six months is not enough for a small firm to switch software.

That third line is the entire product. A survey stops at the answer. The follow-up is where the reason lives, and it is the one thing a tick box has never been able to ask. By hand it costs a moderator day per member, which is why nobody has ever done it across a whole membership.

What lands on your desk

Don't take the description. Read the report.

A finished consultation, open to anyone, no login and no sales call. Nine questions, three hundred conversations, every figure carrying the number it rests on.

It is a worked example
The Chartered Institute of Practitioners does not exist and nobody was interviewed. The format is real, the people are not, and the page says so at the top.
It is frozen
A report is fixed the moment its consultation closes, so the figures you read today are the figures anyone reads next year. That is what makes a public URL worth publishing.
It explains itself
Hover the annotations on the live page to see why each part is built the way it is, from the confidence intervals to the permission ladder on the quotes.
What it costs

A price you can see, that rewards depth.

A campaign fee, then a price per conversation that falls as you talk to more members. Published here rather than negotiated behind a call, and never set on how badly we think you need it.

£6,750
£500 campaign fee · 2,500 conversations at £2.50 each
25010,000

That is a ceiling, not a bill. You agree a maximum and we invoice for the conversations that actually happen. Every agency in this market invoices for the fieldwork whether it lands or not, because its moderator days and recruitment are committed before anyone replies. Ours are not, so we carry that risk instead of charging you for it.

The offer

The first one's free.

Run Candid Response alongside whoever you use now. Send it to a quarter of your members, then compare what comes back with what you get from elsewhere. We pay for it.

A conversation costs us about 60p. An agency books moderator days and pays recruiters before a single member has answered, so it has to charge whether the work lands or not. We don't, so we don't have to.

Start a conversation

What we ask for in return
  • A named sponsor inside the organisation, so it is somebody's job rather than nobody's.
  • A meeting after the readout, whether it went well or badly. The bad one is more useful to us.
  • Permission to say you tried it. Not a testimonial, just the fact.

None of those cost money. If the work is not better than what you have, you have spent a meeting and learned something for nothing.

Before we take the work

One condition. Publish your base size.

If you won't say how many members answered, we're not the right supplier. And you should wonder about anyone who doesn't mind.

There are seven other things we will never say, and they are all on how we stay honest. Worth taking that list to whoever you use now.

We've never done this for anyone. That's why the first one's free.
